Professor of the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, PhD supervisor, professor of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong Yucheng Agro-ecosystem National Observation Research Station, Director of Yucheng Comprehensive Experimental Station of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of Agro-ecosystem Research Center. He graduated from the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, China Agricultural University in 1996 with bachelor, from the Shijiazhuang Institute of Agricultural Modernization, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002 with master, and from the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005 with PhD. He mainly engages in ecological system process and environmental research, and achieved important results in farmland ecological system process, the impact of agriculture on the environment, ecological hydrology and water environment. He is currently an editorial board member of Carbon Research, Journal of Ecology and Environment, Resources Science, Chinese Journal of Eco-Agriculture, Journal of Agricultural Resources and Environment, South-to-North Water Diversion and Water Science and Technology, and People's Pearl River. In recent years, he presided over 5 projects of the National Foundation of China, including 3 general projects, 1 key international cooperation project and 1 key project of Shandong Joint Fund; 1 sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and 1 national key research and development special project; Chinese Academy of Sciences talent project.
He has published more than 150 papers, more than 80 SCI papers, 1 book, 8 patents, and 1 software copyright.

He is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of IGSNRR, CAS. Member of International Water Resources Association (IWRA), Member of International Institute of Hydraulic Engineering Research (IAHR). In 2006, he obtained a Doctoral degree in hydrology and water resources. He is mainly engaged in the research of basin water cycle simulation, model uncertainty and the impact of climate change on hydrology and water resources. He has made innovative progress in the quantitative attribution of human activities and climate change on basin water cycle process and model uncertainty. He won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award (R5) in 2017. In recent years, he has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects, one national major research and development program project. More than 130 academic papers were published in total, including 32 SCI-cited papers with the first author or corresponding author and 10 related monographs.

Born in 1976 in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. He is a professor of the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also the director of Shandong Dongying Institute of Geography, CAS, Director of Yellow River Delta Research Center, Institute of Geographic Resources, CAS, Deputy director of Yucheng Comprehensive Experimental Station, Deputy Director of Yellow River Delta Modern Agricultural Engineering Laboratory, CAS, editorial board member of Journal of Resources and Ecology. Research has been carried out on multi-scale monitoring of agro-ecosystems, model development and application, response and adaptation of farmland ecosystems to climate change and human activities, regional agricultural resource elements and optimization of agricultural systems. He has participated in/presided over more than 20 projects/topics supported by Japanese Ministry of Environment, JAXA, NASA, Chinese Academy of Sciences, NSFC and Ministry of Science and Technology, published more than 50 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, and participated in the preparation of 3 books. Current research areas include: (1) multi-scale monitoring, modeling and evaluation of farmland ecosystems; (2) Regional diagnosis and spatio-temporal optimization of farmland ecosystem; (3) Response and adaptation of farmland ecosystems to climate change; (4) Micro-UAV and its application in agriculture; (5) Remote sensing and big data and their application in agriculture; (6) Agricultural system optimization and regional sustainable development.

Prof. Zhipin Ai is currently working at the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a PhD supervisor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked at the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan for 2016-2023. His areas of expertise are global change and water-food-energy-ecology nexus. His research interests include but not limited to 1) Integrated modeling of water-food-energy-ecosystem; 2) Climate change impact assessment and adaptation; 3) Application of machine learning and remote sensing in eco-hydrology. He received the Young Scientist Best Paper Award (2021) from the International Association of Chinese Youth in Water Science (CYWater). He is currently an Academic Editor of PLOS Climate.

PhD supervisor and professor of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGSNRR, CAS), China. Member of the Advisory Committee and Sustainable Development Committee of the Ecological Society of China (ESC). Member of Ecological Environment Committee of Chinese Society for Sustainable Development (CSSD). Her research interests are soil health and and sustainable agriculture. She has made innovative progress in abatement of soil constraint factor, interaction between farmland productivity and environment, and improvement of technical patterns and relevant case studies for ecological agriculture.
